This article features Himalayan Hues, a 6,000 sq ft residential project by MakesenseDesigns, located in the serene Sikkimese village of Pangthang.

Celebrating the dramatic Himalayan landscape and local culture, the design draws inspiration from shifting light, cloud-shrouded peaks, and surrounding forests to create a sequence of spaces that evoke a surreal mountain journey — from a cozy reception lounge opening onto expansive views of Mount Kanchenjunga, to guest rooms that connect residents with nature through bold colour, natural light, and locally inspired Sikkimese forms. The penthouse interior fuses open-plan living with playful spatial volumes, reflecting warmth and a strong sense of place throughout.
