From the Mountains to the Stage: A Surreal Win for Our First Project
There are moments in an architect’s career that define their journey, but nothing quite compares to the electric thrill of walking onto a stage to accept an award for your very first built project. We are beyond ecstatic to announce that Himalayan Hues - Sikkimese Surrealism has won the ABID Award for Elevating Hospitality Design!

Standing under the spotlight to receive this recognition felt as surreal as the concept behind the project itself. Located in the peaceful village of Pangthang, Sikkim , this project was our labor of love—a homestay designed to offer a "surreal dream" experience. To have our debut project acknowledged for its attempt to blend modern interpretation with deep-rooted Sikkimese culture is a validation we will cherish forever.
This award belongs to the spirit of the mountains. From the challenges of working with local Dhupi pinewood to curating a journey that reveals the majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga through the clouds, every design decision was about respecting the context while creating something new. We poured our hearts into details like the prayer flag artworks and the attic spaces designed to feel like a "volumetric space" of interaction.

To go from sketching sections that "hide and reveal" the view to holding a trophy for those very ideas is an immense satisfaction. This win isn't just for us; it’s for the belief that even a first project, when driven by passion and a strong concept, can reach the summit.
